The process of accepting online applications has started from March 5.

Caste proof is mandatory to apply online from 10 percent reserved quota. Therefore, the young men and women of the Maratha community continued to harass the revenue system to get the certificate to apply for the newly announced ten percent reservation. However, the order to give the certificates did not come from the government. An order was given by the General Administration Department of the Government to give the certificates of March 11 and the certificates of Crimillare.

मराठा समाजाला दहा टक्के आरक्षणाचे दाखले आणि नॉन क्रिमिलेअर देण्याच्या आदेशास शासनाकडून विलंब झाला. परिणामी, मराठा उमेदवारांना १७ हजार इतक्या महापोलिस भरतीत दहा टक्के आरक्षणापासून वंचित राहण्याची वेळ आली आहे. त्याचा मोठा फटका मराठा समाजातील उमेदवारांना बसला आहे. शासनाने आरक्षण जाहीर करूनही वेळेत दाखला न मिळाल्यानंतर त्यांना खुल्या वर्गातून अर्ज भरण्याची वेळ आली आहे.

शासनाने मराठा समाजाला शिक्षण आणि नोकरीत दहा टक्के आरक्षण दिले. आरक्षण देऊन दोन आठवडे झाले तरी आरक्षणाचे दाखला आणि नॉन क्रिमिलेअर देण्याचे आदेश नाहीत. दरम्यान, अलीकडच्या काही वर्षांतील सर्वांत मोठी पोलिस शिपाई पदाची भरती प्रक्रिया सुरू झाली. पाच मार्चपासून ऑनलाइन अर्ज स्वीकारण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू झाली आहे. दहा टक्के आरक्षित कोट्यातून ऑनलाइन अर्ज करण्यासाठी जातीचा दाखला असणे बंधनकारक आहे. त्यामुळे मराठा समाजातील युवक- युवती नव्याने जाहीर केलेल्या दहा टक्के आरक्षणातून अर्ज करण्यासाठी दाखला काढण्यासाठी महसूल यंत्रणेकडे हेलपाटे मारत राहिले. मात्र, दाखले देण्याचे आदेश सरकारकडून आले नव्हते. शासनाच्या सामान्य प्रशासन विभागाकडून ११ मार्चचा दाखले आणि क्रिमिलेअरचे दाखले देण्याचे आदेश देण्यात आले.

पण जातीच्या दाखल्यासाठी अर्ज केल्यापासून ४५ दिवसांची तर नॉनक्रिमिलेअरसाठी १५ दिवसांची मुदत असते. यामुळे हे दोन्ही दाखले पोलिस भरतीसाठीच्या अर्ज दाखल करण्याच्या ३१ मार्चपर्यंतच्या अंतिम मुदतीत मिळविणे शक्य नाही. म्हणूनच या पोलिस भरतीत मराठा उमेदवारांना दहा टक्के आरक्षणाचा लाभ होणार नसल्याचे स्पष्ट झाले आहे. मराठा योद्धा मनोज जरांगे पाटील यांच्यासह अनेकांनी आरक्षणासाठी संघर्ष केला. पण शासकीय अनास्थेमुळे दाखले देण्याचा आदेश तातडीने झाला नाही. पोलिस भरतीत आरक्षणास मराठा उमेदवारांना मुकावे लागले
